This renovation project included the basement family room, bathroom, laundry room and garage of a 1950’s modern ranch house.  The homeowner, an avid collector of contemporary and historic quilts, wanted these rooms to feature a fun, modern play of colors and textures. A wall of translucent resin panels embedded with colorful silk threads divide the laundry room from the bathroom.

Built-in shelving and cabinetry in each of the rooms provide ample storage for everything from toys to gardening tools. The garage was converted into an indoor/outdoor porch room and features a new fireplace, textured tile, colorful cabinets and pendant light fixtures.
