This interior renovation in the stately Hancock Park area of Los Angeles transformed a classic, 1920s-era house into a more open, colorful and friendly dwelling for a family of four. The project sought to preserve the house’s classic lines, yet liven it up. The kitchen was expanded, bathrooms were updated, and new French doors and windows were added.

Color designer Philippa Radon composed custom paints for the interiors, while the floors were re-done in quarter sawn white oak. All the light fixtures are from the period, and were found at salvage yards and antique stores.
