Thomas Stallman is an associate at Scrafano Architects, and has been a friend of Elissa’s since the early 1990s when they met as classmates at SCI-Arc. Before joining Scrafano Architects, Thomas worked for Frank Gehry, Frank Israel and Moule & Polyzoides in Los Angeles.
Thomas has taught at the University of California at Irvine and has been an educator, exhibition designer and curator for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Thomas also served as the administrator for The Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, a nonprofit organization supporting art, architecture, design and urbanism in Los Angeles.
Thomas received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors from MCAD, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. He received his Masters in Architecture degree, with distinction, from SCI-Arc.
Thomas’ first passions are art and architecture. When he is not buried in those pursuits, he will be found scratched and dirty in his half-acre garden. He loves traveling and taking clippings from plants around the world.
